100 Things

[Currently sitting at 56.]

While I’ve already done some pretty amazing things in my life (Heli-skiing in Whistler for example) lately it feels like I somehow got off course. So, without going into grand detail about why I’ve (re)created this list, I’m just going to put it out there.  And create a reminder of what my life was supposed to look like when I used to dream.

  1. Get married to my partner in crime.
  2. Adopt 1-2 kids before I’m 40.
  3. Visit all the countries in Europe.
  4. Summit Kilimanjaro.
  5. Visit Alaska.
  6. Visit all 50 states. (I’m shocked at the number of states I haven’t been to yet.)
  7. Take an Art History course.
  8. Buy a ridiculous piece of jewelry from Cartier.
  9. Get published – possibly a pastry book.
  10. Finish a marathon. (I could go either way on this one. I feel like its something I should do at least once but I’m not really excited about it.)
  11. Become fluent in French or Spanish.
  12. Travel to Japan in the Spring.
  13. Find a career I love, find value in and feel appreciated doing.
  14. Graduate from Pastry School.
  15. Purchase a home in a town/city I really want to be in. (Mountain town in Colorado? Apartment in Paris?)
  16. Snowboard at all the major North American resorts – Aspen, Tahoe, Jackson Hole, Sunshine, Tremblant, etc.
  17. Snowboard on all seven continents.
  18. Start a foundation honoring my father.
  19. Ride an elephant in Africa or SE Asia.
  20. Attend New York or Paris Fashion Week.
  21. Scuba Dive (I’ve never used my certification in open water.)
  22. Purchase a piece of art I won’t despise later.
  23. Move to Europe (preferably France) for one year.
  24. Learn to sew.
  25. Get professional boudoir photos of me before I get any older, saggier, or fatter. Learn to love my body.
  26. Teach Yoga.
  27. Be an extra on a film.
  28. Take a year off and travel around the world. (I had a chance once before and I blew it.)
  29. Visit the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne house.
  30. Master the proper use of my SLR, various lenses and lighting.
  31. Master Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
  32. Buy a custom made suit, preferably Armani.
  33. Learn to sing.
  34. Walk the red carpet.
  35. Fly in the cockpit of a plane – private or commercial.
  36. Act in a play or film.
  37. Forgive my parents and forget it.
  38. Go up in a hot-air balloon.
  39. Overcome my fear of failure.
  40. Write my life story.
  41. Visit Washington D.C.
  42. Attend Cannes.
  43. Drive a Formula 1 Race Car.
  44. Become a Wine Connoisseur.
  45. Become a millionaire and create enough income so that I don’t have to work another day in my life.
  46. Enjoy my 15 minutes.
  47. Attend TED.
  48. Die with No Regrets.
  49. Re-learn Sign Language.
  50. Spend a long weekend traveling around Napa. (I spent a day driving around Napa in 3/09. Not the same.)
  51. Visit Redwood National Park.
  52. Hike to Camp Muir.
  53. Take a ballet class. (Jan. 2009)
  54. Start dancing again – and possibly perform in front of a live audience again. (New Years Eve 2009)
  55. Own my own company. Be my own boss.
  56. Learn Letterpress.  Use craft for work and fun.
